Can someone explain why our dev pay is taxed so much higher? We should be paid much more than our typical checks without paying into retirement a toward benefits.

I had A thousand taken in taxes!!!! Left so little left! And still no job and one severance pay left. I’m so sc--wed! They take more cause they say it’s a supplement tax! Extra pay..
