Hmmm… this thread has been awfully quiet today.
@1os, it’s SRED. Not sure it covers all the salary but it is a big tax advantage and makes Canadian resources cheap if they qualify. Saying they are “free” is a stretch.
I asked my LL6 today about this. He said that our director had a meeting with them last week and said there is talk of cuts (I’m in PD) but we don’t have to worry in Canada as our work is covered under some tax program called “shred”. Something about the layoffs last summer cut our number to just those that fall under this program so we are safe. I asked about our teams in Dearborn but he just said he could answer that.
