Thread regarding Ford layoffs

So this whole follow the market strategy

Is self defeating. Take a company like Toyota, their share price increased by +50% over the last year. While Ford dropped -10% over the last year. Toyota does what’s good for their company and thus the shareholders benefit. Ford does what’s perceived as good to boost the stock price (EV pipe dream, AV cash burn, yearly layoffs, etc). The “muh startup” myth push where any investor can see through this BS. Toyota also in return for shareholder loyalty pays a more healthy dividend than Ford (they can afford to: their global revenue/profit permits them to reinvest in their company “and” pay a dividend) Ford still pays the dividend when the profit is slim or a loss in the case of 4th quarter, instead of reinvest that excess back into the company (which is needed based on the performance of the company). It does not take a Harvard MBA to see this, they need to collectively pull their head out of you nowhere if they wish to survive.
