Serious question about Maria

I’m at loss as to why she is still here, what am I missing?

To be honest, until I saw this post I didn't realize that she's been nearly invisible to the company at large for most of the last 2 quarters. Seems like she's being sequestered.

Look at the quarterly filings, she vests 100k shares monthly. (So does Scott btw) She’ll never leave, she’s got a very sweet deal.

To the poster who says she checks three boxes, she does nothing to help those three communities. She truly is no help to anyone.

She keeps the vending machines profitable.

I can testify with my personal experience that Cisco IT and CX under this bozo's leadership have become completely useless.

I was really afraid I'd end up facing LR's when our team was moved into CX shortly after Maria took over CX. I'd say she's "transformed" CX, but into what I can't say w/o violating this site's user agreement, Cisco's code of business conduct regarding social media posts, etc.

Thankfully we've been moved out of CX, but we're still under Maria because she's over something like half the company since she took over Operations.

The comments about her being a diva and wanting attention seem spot on. Back when Cisco was doing the all-hands and calling them "Check-ins" via Cisco TV, it was interesting how she had her deskpro setup such that it had a view out her mansion windows showing the view her home has. I recall one where, because she had an electronic keyboard visible, that she was asked to play something for the company.

Fran isn't much better with her fake smile and how she smiles at everything even when sharing bad news. She has a nice "little" home office with a glass wall that had double glass doors. Who has "office" style walls/doors in a home? When Cisco kicked everyone out of the offices, they effectively caused everyone a paycut because they now have less living space at home or had to move to a larger apartment in order to have a full-time space allocated to working from home, especially those that have meetings where you have to have a camera on and don't have a mansion w/ the space to have an executive style office in your home.

She broke Salesforce customer success that it took them a few years to recover and fix their CS model there. It speaks of how much Chuck and the board loves her for some non-apparent reason.

Salesforce is a much better place after she left according to friends who moved there from Cisco 7-8 years ago and we are "stuck" with her!

Why? Because Cisco is a food culture.

She's a diva beyond all diva's. We've had to try and schedule customer meetings for her. No one wants her in front of their customer. I shouldn't say no one. Send her in if a team wants to sabotage a deal to get a lower goal for the next year. Anytime there's a customer meeting planned for her, it's all about her. Sales cringes at the thought of working with her handlers to try and coordinate something they don't want....nor does the customer. A bunch of hot air is all they get. She'll try and tell them DNAC is the answer to everything, when they know it's not. The worst part for sales is having to deal with all her requirements. The worst kind of diva, the 3 letters you can't talk about kind of diva.

Haven't been impressed with her since Day One. She goes through assistants like socks. Just learned she has her own private jet.

But you don’t have too many people in CX and CX aren’t even getting pay as anyone else.

Get ready for this big chopping blocks from your hot mama María going to implement. She been at Cisco for about 6 years now, came from salesforce, and salesforce stock spiked up recently after layoffs, this is exactly what any public company wants to see, their stock prices going up. If layoffs is a big factor to lifting up stock prices, they will do it. But one thing they didn’t know this is only a temporary relief. It will comeback to bite them, what’s worst is if these public companies are laying off wrong people like Cisco has been.

Cisco is good at copying anything and everything other companies are doing, and Maria will be operating it, she will copy her friends from salesforce and having mass layoffs to helping CSCO price going up on Wall Street.

Did you see the thread about posts being removed because of the 3 letters you can't talk about? Now you know why MM was hired - checks 3 boxes (you figure out which ones). She is so bad they won't even let her speak anymore at major events. But if you fire her, you are admitting those 3 letters don't work. Maybe she can boast about the transformation accomplished at Cisco and move on to destroy another company.

Everyone wonders the same thing: why is she still here? They have for years! Alistair Wildman wants her there because he's equally as bad as her puppet underling. The people who dislike Maria the most are Sales. She's dictating everything at Cisco anymore. She's untouchable based on demographics. The Sales leadership won't stand up to her even though they know her directions are ruining Cisco.

Sales teams constantly state how worthless the CX organization is and that it's her doing. What's so funny is to hear Sales talk publicly about their support of CX and then get them in a small group, and BO-M, they unleash how worthless the organization has become.

It's not just an opinion but a fact based on direct customer feedback. The Sales organization bears the brunt of CX's worthlessness. They have to try to defend CX to customers, but they can't. Even CX, non-leadership, knows it's gone downhill significantly.
