Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Culture

When they say culture needs to change… what they are really saying out with the people that built this place and in with the new youngsters, DEI hires, and liberals.

They are more interested in social engineering than running a solid business.

Replace Stankey with Boy George. Then watch the culture change :)

Change the culture. You kidding me. Leadership does even know what that means. The cancer culture from SBC has placed T on life support. Changing culture now is like dressing the corpse in a new suit.

  • “What would you know about running a business? You've never done it.”

It’s easy, just don’t do what Stephenson and Stankey have done.
Just ask ChatGPT - how to successfully run a business and not do whatever nonsense Randall Stephenson and John Stankey did to destroy AT&T.

Bam, millions.

"... than running a solid business."

What would you know about running a business? You've never done it.

The only “culture” that ‘Germy Jackle99’ knows is his favorite band...Culture Club! In all seriousness, he was far off the mark in his “definition”.

Just my two cents, but I don't think Legg knows what culture means. Company culture is not "working harder and moving faster." Culture is how we treat each other, and it's something that forms naturally.

If you want people to work hard and bust their a-s for you, there has to be a foundation for mutual respect: Two-way communication, transparency, and honesty. Leadership has been consistently failing in all three categories.

How can we believe in the company vision if the supposed leader we have to look up to says "just quit" - is that supposed to infuse us with confidence?

Leadership: OPEN YOUR EARS

This post and its responses are so d-mb. What’s more likely, DEI (a sunset initiative) that many companies are spending less on in this fiscal year than 2021 is destroying this company or the fact the our former CEO spent north of a $100 billion on f*cking a declining media company and satellite tv company. Also the failed TMo bid with gave them an infusion of cash to disrupt the entire industry.
So not only are we bloated in terms of debt and headcount but we are farther behind than our competitors for not focusing on our core business.
No his lackey John is “righting” the ship by mass layoffs. DEI is a marketing campaign but in actually it makes people like us (on the left and right) argue while a few incompetent multi-millionaires made some bad business decisions that’s sc--wing us all over.

Younger set wants to be a part of something and will drink Kool Aid for the cause. But they want no part of an schedule, being on time, responsibility, or P&L.

Grow up… and peddle your political right wing nonsense somewhere else. I agree they are looking for younger workers, as most companies, and AT&T falls in line with the toxic capitalist mentality. This is Greed. Plain and Simple.

DIE/DEI is based on reverse discrimination. T is dying a slow death partially because of DIE. Stankey's incompetence is still the main ki-ler
