I am in Wave 1 of those GSC positions being outsourced to Ireland...off payroll end of March...got Wave notification in Nov...what a shame to see experienced VZ employees being replaced by untrained/inexperienced people in Ireland! Just got email that the 2nd phase of this is beginning & more waves to follow....perhaps their goal is to outsource all jobs to Ireland...who knows...glad I got my 27 years in before VZ created such a mess of things...that's my 2 cents worth

The bigger question is how many more in VGS will join the Limerick group? How many does the site hold?!? I have heard that Payroll, commissions and accounts payable out of Tulsa are on the list but we are being told the opposite in town halls.
So Verizon, a US Company chooses a non-US CEO (who was fired from his previous CEO job for fraud, bribery, tanking the company). This Swedish meatball CEO immediately starts replacing the majority of US workers with non-US workers (primarily Indian). Seems like Passive-aggressive takeover of US. Happening with many other US Companies. Even US steel companies.
If being in the offixe prevented outsourcing suddenly RTO after a couple years of working from home isn’t going to make a difference.
BTW They’ll outsouce anyone they can even if they always were in the office.

Yes , everyone working from home will be impacted. If you wanna keep your job RTO.Its an easy way to get rid of people.
Sorry to hear you were impacted, and 27 years is impressive. I fully expect to be out the door some time this year. Interesting that the powers that be send the email notifying everyone that the next wave is happening at 4 PM on a Friday afternoon. Smacks a little of cowardice to me.
