@pyj+1qZWGoXs Mandatory Monday Meeting / 3M
If there are enough lawsuits about separation (severance) agreements, companies will soon stop offering severance.
Courts all over the country have ruled against employers on any restrictions put into severance agreements. They have all said the agreements were signed under duress so thus invalid. I have know people who sued after signing and settled their lawsuits with WF. One was aged related the other performance related. Latter was an employee with exceeds rating and was told rating determined layoffs even though she knew people with meets were still there.
You don't get this kind of notice for a layoff.
Layoffs are not just on non-pay week Tuesdays anymore.
Triple M - alliteration. Clever! Please post update on Monday, OP.
If the meeting is layoff related, hopefully you are one of those wishing and wanting to get the layoff notice and you are a very happy employee right now, extremely overjoyed at the prospect of finally getting that severance payment pot of gold!
If you get the layoff notice and were NOT begging to lose your job, many regrets and best of luck for the future.
Tip: Layoffs are not only occurring on Tuesdays anymore. Volume now requires them to be any day of the week.
Don't sh**t the messenger.
Too many details here
What does the severance docs say about consulting an attorney?
It’s a Monday and not after payday, probably not a layoff but maybe announcement regarding location strategy. What organization?
@ipb+1qZWGoXs The severance package actually includes verbiage about consulting an attorney. I just got one
Just got a mandatory invite for Monday as well. What department are you in?
3M?
Third Party group?
Gives you ample time to prepare to push back and maybe get advise from a lawyer.
