“ I work in Cisco for 15 years as sw engineer. I don't get interview calls. How do I get out?”

You can try what I did to get out couple of years ago. Brush up your skills in any upcoming tech , write some papers and/or patents via CPOL on them . Target new age tech such as AI/ML, Quantum, Cybersecurity , AI for security etc. Move away from legacy infrastructure tech whether you are in software or hardware. Remember legacy networking or cloud - both are infrastructure and both areas are supersaturated with layoffs from AWS and GCP.

It’s hard to do what I have suggested above , working out of hours on your skill sets and papers and patents. But use Cisco’s ecosystem and platform to get some of those published, build up your LinkedIn profile and then use those as leverage to find a new role. Or else, you need to be very well networked which I was not.

All the best !
I don’t come to this forum much any more but read about the LR announcement on Yahoo and thought of checking out.

Collaboration looks to be eviscerated with this round.

CX was still hiring as of last month. They would not cut CX because of MM

Is this just a cut and pasted list of everything Cisco does or is something missing that Cisco is taking serious enough to not have disposable employees?

I agree with comments on CX Product Management. Let's face it, 4 years into Success Tracks it's a debacle. Level 1 is not ecen available for all technologies, Level 2 is only avail for Campus, level 3 has gone missing, CX Cloud onboarding process is beyond a joke to the point that most customers don't even log in. And let's not even talk about PX Cloud that adds zero value to Partners and looks like it was developed 20 years ago....

So many people in Cx! Look in directory, there 1000’s and 1000’s of them! And they dump good TAC guys to put these cx in place. WTF are all these doing?

CX holds no value. Should be on a chopping block

PMs from CX are even worse, their job is drawing cartoons on Excel spreadsheet. That's only thing they know.

CX hopefully should be will be a big part of this. What have MM even do except to turn our TAC to cra_ and have another of MM's personal org with so much fat that does nothing.

Where are you even hearing any group at this point? In GES no leaders have heard anything from my understanding. Other than the SVP leaving, not sure where they’d even trim GES after the reorg unless it is specific BEs

They have to flatten out the org. Management layers will be impacted.-
