@ccj+1qZq8RlS So you think you’re responding to a point a different person made. Cool. Socrates would be proud.

@qix and you're here astroturfing the thread to make it seem like more than one person is irritated about someone laughing at the bank being called a "firm" by the clueless executive team. Have you met kettle, yet?

So you're saying there are multiple people with this opinion, contrary to previous assertions. Cool.

Wild that anyone still thinks this “just asking questions” routine is being conducted in good faith in TYOOL 2024

@ciw+1qZq8RlS Give it a rest with sealioning these leading questions, making your own ridiculous assumptions belying how shallow your aloof nonpartisan debate bro schtick really is.

You’re on here “debating” (lol) on behalf of a position which you clearly do hold, based on what “side” you’re exclusively haranguing with these pretentious comments. One mo--n endlessly clogs this forum up with his obsession with an innocuous industry-standard term, and he is rightfully mocked for it, while you mysteriously run interference for him.

Never debate from a position of ignorance. There's definitely more than one person that has pointed out the eye rolling nature of the change. I think it's stupid and I didn't start the thread, so there's at least 2 here minimum. In a company with 174k people, it's safe to say there are more who share the same opinion. But really, why should it matter if it's 1 or the entire company? Is an opinion more valid simply because more people have it? Have you met many people?

"that is almost universal in your own industry"

Yet, here you are, posting on "our" industry's forum, about "our" trivialization of a pointless bit of jargon. From your wording, it's not your industry so, why do you care so much?

It's funny that you call us obsessive about it when you're the one who can't let it go when a post shows up. I'm not even the OP, I just think needling you over it is hilarious since you react so poorly.

You’re not fooling anyone with this bizarre unfazed affectation. You’re the only one “bothered” since you whine about an insignificant term that is almost universal in your own industry nearly every week on here. Get a grip.

@dwc Sorry that you're bothered by Wells Fargo employees who laugh at the effort to reprogram our brains. Wells wasn't a Wall St. bank, so forcing Wall St. jargon on us seems like just another form of Charlie's bloviating. First, we were no longer team members. Then there was no stagecoach. After that, we're a "firm".

It's a bunch of wasted effort that has zero tangible benefit. You can understand why a bunch of people who were here before Charlie continue to laugh at his corporate doublespeak.

The fact that we laugh at it bothers you is a reflection of you, not everyone else.

@hyb+1qZq8RlS Bro they have pi---d away more on flights and meals this week than any communication initiative that may or may not exist.

This seems personal, did you have to update the language yourself lol?

There’s lots to be upset about with the leadership, but this isn’t it and it takes away from real issues

I hope people remember to call it The Firm while they are being walked out of the building. Shart is coming for ALL of us, including his sycophants.

The only "war" happening here is coming from the mo--ns at the top that invested time/money to implement the change. They can call the company whatever they want, no one cares, but why spend money on this to change every single corporate communication to reflect something so irrelevant. If it 'really doesn't matter', why spend money on it? Do we have nothing better to do? Shart decided it was a big deal, not us.

@pvh+1qZq8RlS I saw people using “organization” instead of bank the other day!!! Get them!!!!!

Wf is filled with insecure dinosaur losers that will project anywhere before they look inward.

Look the world passed you by, sorry. Hope big red was worth it. Keep fighting a culture battle on their behalf… seems healthy

@jvp+1qZq8RlS Nobody is saying we need to act like anybody else, they are saying it is wild that people are offended by an industry terms that does get a second thought at any other bank.

This crusade against “firm” is insane and misplaced, and based on nothing. Enjoy fighting your windmills, this battle is in your head.

It's funny how some people think the key to future success for our company is acting like everyone else. That's not how it works, at all, especially when you have corporate baggage. Think about it like a consumer. If they are "all the same", who are you going to bank with? Bank A? Bank B? Or Bank C, which happens to be known for scandals? Not a difficult decision.

This company does needs major rebranding, but it needs to be to separate the new WF from "everyone else", including the former version of ourselves.

Gee, I wonder who's "insecure" the NYC guys that decided to spend a bunch of time and money updating all company communications to sound like everyone else at their dinner parties ooooor the people saying "who cares, that's a waste of time/money?" 😑

Literally just an industry term. Some of you people need to get out, and have clearly spent your lives at the same place. your insecurity is apparent if the word “firm” gets the response it does on this board.

Maybe look up the definition of firm first before you get all high and mighty.

Believe it or not but that term has been used for decades before Charlie. Maybe get out of your cave once in awhile.
