I can't see that many companies are having layoffs right now. I assume everybody is waiting for the holidays to pass before they resume business as usual. And then there's Intel. Can you even imagine the level of cruelty it takes to lay people off less than a week before Christmas?

I am with your theory @1atk. I can see they shorted more than 10B from $70 down to $25 in a very short period of time after intent false financial results. Why do the cost cutting also same 10B? Very odd right. Is it a coincidence 10B illegal manipulation or someone forgot to leave a trail of illegal insider trading. Time will tell but I feel bad for the people got laid off by their illegal activities to get more profits.

I suspect and have a conspiracy theory about this cost cutting bullsh-t laid off from Intel insiders trading to profits. One hand they lobbied the goverment for the Chip Act grants to promise more industry jobs for America workers then made false financial reports to short 10 Billions of INTC stock before these insiders started buying back. Once these insiders bought enough shares they will announce layoffs as cost cutting bullsh-t to have their stocks move up hence profit more. Someone needs to investigate into how much these Intel insiders trading profits from 2020 until today to save America workers from non sense layoff through cost cutting bullsh-t .
We’ll, if I were laid off with a severance package, it would be good to have a holiday season in which I didn’t have to worry about work.

I am probably rather trust my bank, my $$$ and my wife than Intel jobs.
They are giving you the Christmas gift of being shown your true place in the world. It's a tough lesson, but once you learn it, your life will be better.
You are their bullsh-t family when they can use you as cheap labors to make more profits. When they are in serious trouble with their profits they will throw you under the bus no mercy. Stay away if you are not inside. Ready to jump at anytime when you are already inside.

Remember how PG would talk about employees as family? We are family? And someone here said, something like you don't get rid of family when things get tough. well, PG stopped talking about 'family' when 10K people got laid off this year.
