Salary adjustment this year 2024

Seems the salary adjustments made this year in US have been disappointing considering the amount of profits company has made. Yes there were acquisitions but numbers for adjustments have been pathetic.
BTC on the other had had handsome 30% raise.
So- wondering how others have been treated in US.
CL, ranking of 2023, salary adjustments please = 27, excellent, 0

When comparing to other countries consider the percentage must account for differing inflation rates. Many of these “high value low cost” countries have low value governments and inability to contain inflation. Look at inflation rate in Argentina for example. Go socialist go broke.

You might be wrong. I cannot find the post you are referencing. Someone mentioned that older posts get deleted. So if you can find the post you mentioned, maybe paste the link on this one.

Apparently, I need to get a promotion to get a better raise. Not sure how that is possible since I just received a promotion. This place is nuts.

The question is… are you to accept this pay insult or quit? A lot say they are going to quit and they are still here. Bunch of :cat emojis:

Rumor has it last year HR screwed up. They estimated that our benchmarked peers would give higher raises and were wrong as they came in significantly lower. This was an HR disaster

CL25, VG, 3%, was at 97% SR, now 93%. Joined the company several years ago. Each year is an inflation raise just like clockwork.

In my 20 year career I noticed that every time my wage went up, there would be a few years post it would stay stagnant with no increments. Company plays the system…

@isr The only reason you’re 8% above the salary curve is because they tinkered with salary curves to flatten pay for high-earners. It’s a them problem, not a you problem.

This was telegraphed months ago by the business press. They used layered language, but everyone from Fortune to CNBC to WSJ basically said “we’re not giving you a raise and we’re going to keep raising prices”. They did this to blunt wage gains. It’s also why bosses wouldn’t shut up about a “looming recession” for three years.

BTW, here’s the primary reason everyone was ordered back to the office:

4% NSP increase in US, so if you dropped in ranking and had a high Sr% you likely have low to no raise

CL 27, G, 0%. I can understand the 0% - I don’t like and agree with it, but I understand it. What was a bit shocking is that last year I received 8% raise, and this year I am being told not only 0% increment, but also, that I am 8% above the salary curve. So I am being paid 8% more than I deserve. So last year I got an increment to stop me from leaving, but now there has been change of heart.

Separate out company performance from salary increases. Salary treatment is designed to keep you, and to keep you at the lowest total cost to the corporation. More reliant on a hot labor market than anything else
