Thread regarding Ford layoffs

New hires are too sensitive

It's disheartening how asking someone to do their job is now often seen as yelling in today's workplaces. Literally, just saying it in a normal voice is considered "hostile." It feels like if I don't shower them with a "great job," I'm being super critical. It's just plain ridiculous.

Want to make 200k? Maybe but no one at ford deserves that lol most LL6s I knew made ~125k with an inflated importance on the lease

Politics and micromanagement is live and well.

This is spot on target!!

No experience, large egos, need to make $200k, hardly work, play games, very sensitive, need constant reassurance....

Productive employees will not benefit only social butterflies as many just fly under the radar and collect a check.

Supervision and LL6+ have no idea only know how to remove personnel and hold on to dead weight.

They won't be so nice as Ford slides into panic mode in early 2024. Contractor and employee headcount reductions will make it worse... Agency budget cuts will make it harder to get work done. The fake glory days over the last few years will end! Time to restore Ford and that means leaning out the lazy folks!

My supervisor crucified all of his team this summer to keep his own job. Dude knows nothing other than politics and micromanagement. He kept on saying they will find a job but I am too old to get one. So, su-k it up now!

Many Ford new hires are not the cream of crop. DEI has also become a major factor as well with above and beyond great job recognition for just doing your job minimum is the norm.
