Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Ho Ho Ho Santa says Intel gets a lump of Coal

Don’t be tricked by the sticks recent bumper the noise about 4 in 5 going ahead of schedule that Intel is back, here is why

Advanced node is more than about getting there first. Getting a real useful technology requires a full suite of validated IP Intel does t have that. As it doesn’t have the relationship with all the external IP companies, psst. TSMC does. Rich IP that is validates and delivers versus Intel IP.

Having a real node requires a lot of customers and huge variety of products. And huge couple to build huge fabs to get money back on the RD and drop cost due to mass scale. Intel has NONE!! It only has a single customer, its captive CPU tile. The SoC and graphics tile has all been outsourced to TSMC because they are cheaper, faster to production design worthy and better yield and cost. Without a huge number of customers you can’t make back the money you invested, nor can you learn as fast as the competitors. The leading foundry has a few customers Apple, Nvidia AMD, Microsoft, Tesla, Qualcomm, MediaTek, Intel. Lots of customers and volume means more and faster learning. Intel got lots of talk from Pat.

Who the fu€k cares Intel gets the first high NA. They don’t have the volume nor diversity nor DNA to drive their usage. The high NA won’t make back the volume number that the other foundry got with 70% of the EUV

Intel is finished, isn’t if but when. Their only chance is if US or China starts a war and Taiwan is destroyed, barring that Intel is irrelevant.

Pat with all his four in five and disrespect talk about TSMC, Nvidia and others is arrogance, lunacy and dispair and painful to see, but so appropriate such a lunatic is leading Intel now

It’s pretty disturbing that in order for the ELT to enrich themselves even more, they’re hoping that a small country gets destroyed 😂 Pat will have a golden parachute into He-l I guess.

Chinese President Xi Jinping recently told President Joe Biden at a recent summit that China absolutely intends to reunify with Taiwan. They prefer to do it peacefully, but will use force if necessary. Either way TSMC has a plan to render its chip factories inoperable.

The world still needs Intel to get its sh-t together because the global economy will definitely crash and burn if TSMC goes down.
