Over the last 16 years Verizon's employee numbers have decreased from ~235,000 to ~117,100. That's a decrease of ~117,900 or greater than (>)50%.
Granted this includes some VZ corporate spinoffs/sell offs, etc., however that tally also includes tens of thousands of layoffs.
Given the ridiculous overpricing of Verizon's non-differentiated wireless & Cable TV services it's logical to conclude this downward trend in employees will continue until the corporate strategy changes.
