Even bleaker times lie ahead. Be warned and be informed.

Hard not to sweat the small stuff when your pay is screwed up (that is, opps we messed up and you didn’t get paid so now you’ll really have to fight to get it corrected) right at Christmas. Like holidays aren’t stressful enough.

Keeping cash on hand is a good idea for anyone doing business with "SAP messed up the check" honeywell. Everybody can wait 6 months to be paid right?

There will always be some trauma associated with a layoff, but in the case of a Honeywell layoff, there are many ways up! One should always be considering a layoff with Honeywell as your employer. Always keep enough cash on hand to survive for 3 months without income. Preppers have some things right.

I was laid off previously and yes it was a shock. But once the dust settled, and the feeling of not slaving myself for a company that kept cutting and could not care less for its employees, shock turned to relief.
Yes, the search for another job is no joke. Eventually landed in a place where I am valued, less BS (bs is always there anywhere) with slightly better pay
Don't lose hope. It will get better

happy plattitudes.
I will happily spend the rest of my working life peacefully telling everyone what a two faced ship-at-any-cost company honeywell is and why you should never, ever, buy or trust that brand... and yes that includes safety, oil, and even the aerospace know-it-alls from phoenix and their overpriced , over engineered toys.
Sell to honeywell and you wont get paid on time. Buy from honeywell and it wont be delivered ontime. Work for honeywell and you will be fighting to secure every dime promised in your contract.
I wonnder how? Maybe... https://www.sec.gov/news/press-release/2022-230

Being laid off is traumatic, no doubt, especially if this is the first time you've experienced such a thing. Blessings to you and your family.

The short term may be rough. But you will survive this and mostly likely come out ahead.

Then, you'll likely look back and ask yourself why you didn't leave for greener pastures and better conditions years ago.

These are not platitudes. This is truth. Knock the HW dust off the soles of your shoes and go forward.
