Potential Job Cuts

Those words appear in this Reuters write-up. Is there more to it than just the rumors on this site?

We will elect to not deliver results before we cut anything in DEI. MW backed us into a corerner on this one…..he can’t back track or he loses credibility with all the external stakeholders in teh DEI world that constantly print articles about how great our DEI is while the street keeps printing articles about how we DO NOT DELIVER RESULTS. Hmmmm MW may get a haircut on his bonus this year just like us, but his $$ are still so freaking huge it doesn’t matter - he still gets a LOT…..while we get a little. Pi##ed off right now about this sh*t, thanks CVX leaders……

Depends on the asset but I wouldnt say Chevron is especially lean on Maintenance budgets relative to peers

I'm a Hess employee in maintenance. I'm hoping to be retained after the sale. How lean is maintenance at Chevron now?

Need to reduce headcount in Human Resources and the diversity, equity, and inclusion administrators.

Really need to reduce a bunch of those upper management folk that are really costing us money we don’t need to spend. They really aren’t doing much but consistently trying to figure out how to reduce. Well we can reduce a whole lot of them and not miss a beat!

"Management at all levels are simply furious at the terrible workforce and plan to fire as many as they can and bring in better workers from elsewhere."

Job cuts is waaaaay over due....cut mid and upper management and bring in better leadership. Stop playing musical chairs moving the same clowns between BU's. No accountability and keep rewarding bad management. Need to see a big shake up at the top!!!!!!!

We are about as lean as we can get in many areas already. It will take more than layoffs to fix the issues but for our leadership layoffs are their only and favorite lever to pull so I wouldn't put it past them at all.
