Just received my notification to relocate or surplus. Regardless of my emotions, this is a business goal. I need the business, the business needs to hit goals. It's not about what I want, it's what it needs to survive and grow the share price, period. So now I have to make a decision of what am I willing to do. Being an adult is about making choices on decisions you don't want, but have to make. Good luck to all in this predicament.

With over $100 billions in debt... at&t has to drop number of employees down to 100,000 to survive... or government has to step in to help.

It’s AT&T. There may be plans for RTO and Hub-only retention, but these bizarre plans will change when they begin to fail.

“First quarter surplus for anyone not currently working in one of the 9 hub locations is highly likely.”
Not for the outside field Mgr. There will probably be some losses and that percentage will probably depend on the span of control as far as number of direct reports they want. They are already combining different job titles under one Mgr. and that process will trickle up.

Union will be forced to accept , significantly increased benefits cost, and virtually no job security in all new contract negotiations.

The OP is a troll, the ugly kind that lives under a bridge in their little life. All comments, unfortunately mine as well, feed their shallow mind.

Everyone outside of the 9 hubs will be gone by end of the first quarter.

“ My group was told we're safe for the first quarter. (At Director level). So onwards to qtr two.”

Director levels are not privy to that information by design. You’ve demonstrated why actual information isn’t shared to that community.

IS&C under Leff will lose up to 75 by the end of the first quarter. 33 have already been moved to Accenture and the layoffs will begin in January and continue through the first quarter for the rest.

Once again, you can’t show proof of your comments, we are just consumers of your speculation. Good try, troll!

Sadly, A LOT of people will be gone due to the various waves of RTO for those who choose to not “live your designation” and relocate to a different company designated work location.

Sad, but true.

“A-s-hole behavior that people unfortunately fall for.”

Typical T employee response. No wonder they are laying you all off…

“ Where is the link”

If you really understood what T is doing, you would have read the quarterly shareholder communications that are posted on the T website. You wouldn’t be so ignorant to plea for a link now would you. Try educating yourself. You’re part of the problem here.

Where is the link, you keep, spouting the information without any supporting evidence? Most post an actual link or copy the article with credits, otherwise it’s speculation and anyone can do that.

Look to your left and right, there will be 2 more added employees by the end of 2025. It’s on the internet so it has to be true, lol

2024 surplus tempo will be slightly more aggressive than 2023. Overall headcount milestone for end of year is 115k. That is down roughly 40k +/- from 2023. This will continue through full year 2024 with 45k +/- more. Again, all this information can be seen in shareholder communications. 2025 should be a year for major realignment. Look to your left and your right, 2 out of 3 will be displaced.
