“ Train them to start late, quit early, take long breaks and do minimal work because that's the way we roll.”

I am smart and I get my info and advice on an anonymous forum.

I refused. If you were smart, you would have asked me before you gave me my 60 day notice.

"Give them the training you get"

I love this. I was rarely taught sh-t at T. Learned most of it on my own.

They asked me to train and then realized my knowledge was outdated.

Give them the training you get - here is workday, here is Infor, here is the Schedule T Helpdesk number …

That is exactly the correct response.

Provide minimal info, short answers. Prolong the training...

Focus on the next chapter of your career, obviously you are moving on and it won’t be an amicable separation. Minimal effort and no knowledge transfer because they have deemed you non-essential. They may want to rehire you as a contractor because of your knowledge, at that point it’s your call.

Give them the basics and move on. I definitely wouldn’t divulge too much. Good luck!

I may be considered a disgruntled employee when it comes time to ‘share’ 20 years of knowledge, contacts, and relationships in a few months. Good luck with that..

I’ll train a badged employee, but not a contractor.

Wonder if Stankey is doing that for himself.

Probably not.

I had to do this with offshore contractors. A unique mix of insult and injury. They didn't understand how I did my job and fortunately my leadership seemed to understand there was little hope they would. It's AT&T's problem now.
