Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

I feel exactly the same!

I'm out of here in several months with or without a termination package. I've completely lost my passion to perform my job at the high level I used to do it. The culture at T has completely su-ked the life out of me and has depleted me of any inspiring outlook! The headcount needs to be reduced to around 100k and currently there are around 158k. It doesn't look good!

Not my post, but I feel the same as @1mau+1qgjGota who posted this originally.

Actually those that complain "I would leave even if they fired me" majority of those making hate comments are the toxic issue. Barely work when they do show up., and the union protects them at layoff time using seniorority instead of using quality/attendance then seniority.

I still have the passion, every time I climb that telephone pole. That big pole. Just wow.

"work 12-15 hours a day" ... Costco Run, picking up and dropping off kids, mowing the lawn, busy.

Shame on you. Shame. Shame. Shame. Go away. Leave now. You are the problem. The problem is you. Leave please. Leave now. Get out. You are an utter disgrace. Take your toxicity with you. And your deplorable attitude. And Daddy issues. Enough. Goodbye and good riddance. I bet you are a MAGA.

“ workers have to keep saying they perform at a high level”
Well if you count all the people who used to work 12-15 hours a day because they could do it in their pajamas from home, they might have to add people because of the lost productivity with them having to come in.

Keeping cutting costs, keep doing more with less, keep saving FTE until we can drown the company in a bathtub. Most well run places don’t have this constant push to do more every year for the same or smaller budget. Companies grow their budgets or keep them the same.

Do the same. How about that? Do just a s good as you did before because we pay you the same relative to inflation.

I've never worked at a place where workers have to keep saying they perform at a high level. More talk than action though.

I’ve never worked at anywhere as toxic and abusive as AT&T. It’s a hellhole of miserable id--ts who won’t leave because they can’t do anything else.
