Make contingencies to go back the office if you are remote. If you are remote and out of state, prepare to be separated. Very rarely can they not find someone local to do what a remote person does if being in the office is all that makes a difference to them. They will replace you with agency. The smart thing to do would have been to prepare, but the best to do this is now. I'd make sure you treat it like high time to have a runway available for 6 months of expense. Ford sales for '24 aren't going to be any better and I don't know how someone would expect them to be. You'll be fine if you are prepared. If not I'd make the effort to square that away ASAP. Management will not tell you for obvious reasons. They want to remain in the driver's seat as far as when you depart so therefore the best possible decision for you is to be in control of when you leave. If people knew, then there would be a mass exodus before they were ready, so take control and stay in control.
