My understanding for Finance was there are two phases. The first phase already occurred for the folks who were not located anywhere near one of the designated hubs and their jobs went away at the end of 2023. I will told the second phase would have two waves - one in the first part of the year where folks would get their Job Offer Requiring Relocation letters at the beginning of 2024 and have one month to make a decision and six months for the relocation/layoff. The second wave is supposed to be summer 2024 with the same scenario. Again, this was for the Finance org.

So, I'm in Wave One. My letter was sent out last night. I have until 2/9 to indicate if I will move and I have to move to Dallas by 7/9. No details on Severance at this time.
What org are you in? I understood the Legg org was the only one that officially announced the plan for 3 waves. I also thought letters for wave 1 went out at some point last year wand having to report to their new location early 2024.

The Jan 22 date mentioned below is not RTO specific. It is one of the 11 dates on the 2024 surplus calendar. These were released in 2023, but are likely place holders should a surplus be needed.
Jan. 22 is the next surplus w/ off payroll of Feb. 2. I was called yesterday and told if I want to move to Dallas I have 1-2 weeks to move to Dallas and start working... and was told I won't get an "official" offer to move to Dallas. I was told they needed an answer while on the phone. Also told that they won't guarantee how long I would work. I am on a contract w/ a customer thru 2025 but that apparently doesn't matter.... and no effort to this point to transition my work. Love the planning.
I think this is the first time I have seen the process play out as you described. To date, all RTO / relo related changes have been delivered in writing also, along with a timeframe to report to the new location. 1-2 weeks seems unreasonable unless you are near Dallas already but reporting to a different office, Plano, etc. Why was yours done differently?
March 15th for Leg T/CWA workers - and there's many of us hoping for the termination package.
it wasn't ED! He is the reason we had billions for that Id iot randy to buy direct tv.
That's the F&KN mo--n that is the cause of all this!
@neb+1qqAPQjJ Are you a part of the Jan 22nd wave so those in that wave have already been notified?
Wow. SBC leadership = Mr Ed, Randy and Uncle Fester!
Wave 1 people being told to move right away is what a previous post said? What about wave 2 people?
Any news about St. Louis under Jeremy Legg?
I want to be laid off this year
All depends on Stanks estimated head count reduction. No need to insert hot bamboo shoots, they got the message Stank.. Good luck
Boss just called me and said move to a damn hub city or get laid off by end of 1Q. Stinky su-ks
Happy New Year everyone!!!

The weird part is everyone else in my location were getting offer letters to follow their jobs to Dallas, but apparently not how my org is operating.
Next wave in January is RTO specific, but they had deeper budget cuts than they realized so non RTO specific layoffs are following right behind. Apparently Wave 1 RTO has been escalated from March to January.
Buckle up, it's going to be a rough landing.
hopefully asap for me
