How are the new titles (fake promotions) working out for you?

@4xqk+1qt6SLbh ha! funny … Try landing a job outside of VZ on the basis of your talent and without demonstrating that you have climbed the corporate ladder … and see how far you get.
Beefed up titles do make a difference, especially outside VZ
So you guys are saying already top heavy organizations is rewarding middle management?
Most organizations are going lean and Verizon is going opposite way. There is lot of middle section fat deposits in Verizon.
If they have talent, they can land without beef up title.
Now folks with the beefed up titles on Linked In will use it to land a bigger job at another Company for more $$. Probably part of Vz plan to ultimately downsize without paying RIF packages.
@2foz+1qt6SLbh i am now an AD, and thanks to the next guy for confirming what i said. As a new AD now with the "fake" promotion, I got an LTI bump of multi $k. Only ADs that are now Directors i believe fall into the category you're incorrectly referring to, d-wad. They also got that same overnight $, but it went to STI so they see it sooner and good for them. Sounds like we all got good bumps for middle management and i for one am happy
Not an AD is correct. However, you must be ah*ole social media tough guy @ @2foz+1qt6SLbh.
As an AD you would get a drop in LTI and a bump of 5% to your STI..... I guess you weren't an AD :)
It has been reviewed multiple times. As an AD i got an overnight multi-k bump in my LTI just for doing my job. It's great to be here, working hard. All you negatives need to push some job applications instead of the minus sign.
It is a BAU. Nothing has changed. I updated LinkedIn, unchecked the default box because it is not a promotion. No difference in pay or functions. No need to announce it like the minions. However, now they will have an extra entry level layer at Manager meaning they just water down the job or they knew who is making what more clearly at the Senior Manager role. Not necessarily a good thing with new "managers" coming on board in a few months. Also, still a mystery on the new AD and Dir STI percentages. It is very hush on that front.
I started seeing one by one LinkedIn "promotions" and it seems like it's become a large circle jerk with everyone congratulating everyone. Hundreds of employees just congratulating each other.
I had a tittle change not too long ago and I just unchecked the box to share. Same job, different tittle, same pay. No need to announce it to the world.
The people making it seem like they accepted a new role within Verizon on LinkedIn because they changed the title is so beyond pathetic. I saw one colleague getting congratulated thinking wow is she leaving the team only to see that she just made the d-mb title change. You can make the title change on LinkedIn without making it seem like you got a new job.
I am in band 6 without the title change. We are the people who Actually work with Band 7 people. Everyone above us reporting out of our work to seniors or making strategies that no one uses.
Anyone whose role is to make strategy should be fired since there is no such thing that adds any value.
Mine did not change either. Who really cares since they did not increase any money. Waste of everyone’s time
What are you, like the only Sols Arch III on a team of Seniors?
Absolutely nauseating on LinkedIn and the clowns feeling the need to su-k up and congratulate. SMH
The most pathetic part is that they want to overhype a title change with no increase in compensation. I have never seen this in any company. More title or more responsibility = more compensation. No matter how you look at it.
Mine didn’t change…
As a band 7 on a team of all 6s its awefully quiet as they all go have their fancy meetings eithout me.
i'm going to keep using my old title to see if someone says something.
Wonderful! LTI bump of thousands for me, just for being here and doing my job.
Managers become Sr Managers, Sr Managers become Assoc Directors
Was done to keep up with the job market and try to keep talent without paying. Like really no one else see this.
