First round will be complete by mid February. Then based on how many people self-leave will determine how many more will be laid off.

We have already seen some VP “retirement” announcements and I’m sure there are numerous more in the coming weeks.

Buckle up and good luck.

Idk - this was feels pretty quick vs CDA & CDO. CDA was announced 6 months in advance then tech got hit, then the business 3 months later.

This one feels like everyone said alright, let’s do this quick. My estimates, we’ll know the impact by late January / early February.

CDA dragged on for about a year and half, we would have a cut then it would be like “Alright we’re good now!”, 3 months later another and it was “Ok buckle up! Probably more!” 6 months later, another cut… at that point I was like whatever. I didn’t even know if it was anyone I even knew.

We are months (not weeks) away from this RIF being completed. It will roll out in waves across both levels and different Orgs. Realistic rumors have been pretty hush as many of the VPs and SR DIR haven’t been “read in”, which tells you something. This one won’t be easy but hang in there.

i agree, it’s easy to keep saying what will happen will happen - but this has been very slowly and quietly stressing me the FFFFFFFFFF OUTTTTT

This is typical as to how Nike has handled layoffs. Typically, it is announced several months ahead of time (several months) and everyone stresses for those couple months. In 2009 and 2017, they all happened/completed in a week. In 2020/2021, they were rolling layoffs. A big group in July 2020, another in October 2020 and then rolling by group (without forewarning) in 2021.

The decisions have been made already. Just breathe... be kind to others and be kind to yourself. That is the only thing In which you have control.

Nike has done a real disservice to its employees by letting them know there would be a sizeable layoff and then not executing on it quickly. What do they think would happen to morale? Do they think anyone can be productive under these circumstances? And how long are they going to drag this out? I hope they don't do rolling layoffs. That just extends the pain.

OP, hang in there. If you are laid off, there is life after Nike. Good luck to everyone.
