Questions from HR: Not showing up 3 days a week

Manager approached me saying HR wanted reasons as to why I wasn’t in office 3x the week of Dec 4, Dec11, and Jan 2….

I guess they really want to start enforcing this policy now…

Some people have been granted WFH for getting Botox or lip fillers but will not let their subordinates WFH for actual valid reasons that are not selective/optional procedures

As mentioned by others, the only thing you need is a good excuse. The bank is accommodating to people who are full of excuses. What does that tell you about where we are headed?

There doesn’t have to be a policy. Notifications were sent out. All falls under the code of conduct. Did you think they were kidding?

Tell them you want to be directed to the written policy on HR connect to review before responding… Oh wait it doesn’t exist!

As much as I hate coming in, they spelled this out. Anyone without an exemption will need to provide explanation. They’ve made this clear.

The bank has wanted to enforce this for the past few years. Guessing they were caught off guard by all the resistance. So now we have workplace excellencelol

Did you have a legitimate reason for not being in? for example: time off or getting sick

Just make sure your manager knows in advance so they can respond.

If it's just laziness, eventually it will catch up to you and you'll be working at a company that requires 4-5 days a week RTO and you'll be thinking "I had it good back at BAC". Grass not always greener elsewhere.

That’s fine, I will be doing the bare minimum until they decide to let me go for not coming in

If you arent adhering to the hybrid/flex schedule & you dont have an approved medical accommodation- prepare to be invited to leave
The amount of vacant commercial estate is not to dismissed
The bank has multiple reasons for wanting you in office
