Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

HR has been harassing me to resign with multiple lies!

An HR person whom I've never even spoken with listed several things that I never even did to anyone, and this HR person emailed me to sign to resign "voluntarily."

Those items listed are all complete fabrication!

I've been harassed by HR for months. Please help!

If you are in an "at will" state they can do as they wish with you. I went through a situation at a company where a VP hostile to my VP wanted me gone as revenge for my VP firing one of her people. They fired me based on heresay that presented me as "not a team player" without so much as verifying the story. They gave me the chance to post date my resignation a month. The month of pay was 5X what unemployment would have been since I can't collect it on a resignation.

Asking here for help is definitely going to work wonders.

Are you sure they're even in HR, and if so acting under any kind of authority? Loser engineering groups in the past used to call up members of successful teams at LR time and say "we're taking over your program so if you could just give us control of all the relevant documents and branches that would be great." Having seen stupid at Olympic levels at Cisco there were times I wondered if I was part of PsyOps experiment.

Why would you ask for help here? Find an employment lawyer. Do NOT list the facts here. You need to ask HR for the list of "infractions", the terms of resignation they want, and the proof that they have that you've done these things and take them to an employment lawyer.

You may be able to file a harassment complaint against HR w/ the EOC if it looks like discrimination or unfair employment practices.

But this sounds very bogus given that HR is supposed to investigate issues first, so you should have been interviewed before they got to the point of asking for your resignation.

Sorry, but if you are being so-called "harassed" for months there must be something wrong. Something doesn't add up here. PIP process is a LOT of effort at Cisco, so there has to be good reasons to even do this

you need a lawyer, sounds like you have a case.
you need to be able to disclose facts here and defend those facts.

First, what kind of team structure are you in?
