Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

Some very irresponsible people here

Even after Cisco lay you off still looking to go back. These people need to take some psych pills.

Blaming on chambers Chuckie Fran Maria shows you're totally irresponsible. A company has to run it's business, laying off people is part of running a business. Leave Cisco alone, better places to work for.

The stock is at 60% of its value in 2000.

The stock actually lost more than 90% of its value from its peak in 2000 in a few years, and it's essentially doubled under Chuck since 2015.

Oh, and this won't be the first layoff that Cisco ever did, and everyone won't quit in unison to show their disapproval.

All of these have been covered repeatedly over many years but Cisco employees can't do the research for an elementary school book report so we need to keep repeating the obvious.

Layoffs are for the unimaginative “leaders” who, rather than focus on product and customers pick the low hanging fruit of expense cutting to goose the numbers for Wall St. There isn’t one member of the ELT at Cisco capable of running a product driven business.

It's called 'controlled decline'

Leadership is busy regarding itself with 2M+ packages including deferred compensation where Cisco pays their taxes, buying companies they have invested in, etc. The stock is at 60% of its value in 2000. This itself should cause the top leaders to be fired.

Hi Chuck - You can't run from the failure to grow the business. You made a lot of money laying people off and telling fairy tales of growth to shareholders. If you're looking for the employees to have any respect for you, you're just kidding yourself.

What state is the company currently in? Remember this is a company that did not over hire during co vid. I see a bigger LR in August.

"Narcissists create chaos to regain control - Control is always of utmost importance to them. They will do anything to get it. These people are not the charming, honest, goodhearted people they pretend to be. They are abusive people who are terrified of exposure."

Regardless what leaders they have, just run away after they lay you off. Don't even spend 1 second looking back. This is not to saying Cisco is a good company has good leadership. Bottom line is this is not your company what can you do about it? There are better companies to work for out there

Umm, so leaders are perfect and should never be called out for missteps? Gotcha!

I could see layoffs being part of running a business that gets put into a corner. However, when it happens every year like clockwork, leadership is obviously doing something wrong.
