Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

VSP

Last year they moved 5k? To HCL, what is the possibility of a VSP for the rest of us this year?

VSP is dead for another 8 years, at least....and that's if the CEO would do it

With all the tech companies in the news for laying off more and more it might not be a bad idea. People might be scared to take it given how much competition for work there is. Those that do take it are going to be the ones who are very unhappy or right at the edge if retiring and losing both will increase vzpulse scores.

As a member of both those groups I’ll be happy to test out the workday process for it.

No chance of a VSP this year. If past is prologue next VSP will be in 2033 (2003, 2018, 2033).

Re-badging you is not the same as a Voluntary Separation Program. I think the chances of a VSP is 0%. The chances of rehashing are low, they've already made the larger moves there. The one major 're-nothing's lever they could pull would be to move all direct stores to indirect. Given the historical issues with indirect and how they keep lowering the cost of running direct (B.S. Commissions), I also think that is unlikely.
