I never understood why they bought AppD. Too expensive and complex for all of my customers. Why would they want it? And on top of that you have the obnoxious AppD sales people who'd come on customer calls and start off by boasting about how much money Cisco had bought AppD with - as if customers care! Total waste of money buying AppD and will be Splunk.

RIP Cisco. It was good for while we did the Disco, but time to move on.

If you are part of AppD sales, you should be worried. Q2 was an absolute sh-tshow, and the failure to execute goes all the way up to leadership. You saw DW already shown the door, the rest of the low performers will be gone soon.

Cisco is heavily invested in application observability. AppD is not closing . Not until Splunk is integrated

In AppD. Scrambling and applying for external jobs. We know we are on the chopping block. No or very infrequent Sales activates was the tell tale sign.

Cisco burnt cash reserves on scientific Atlanta, AppD and now Splunk

AppD has been renamed AppF to reflect it's failure to produce any meaningful revenue.

I heard it’s being closed down as there were no interested buyers for the business.
