So I will be surplus, with severance- but no one can tell me when. The letter said the coming weeks/months. Any insight how things being rolled out?

There are no jobs in Dallas. And no one is hiring bc they are doing surpluses. Ppl are promising to move to Dallas to hold their jobs when they have no intention to move. Causing people in Dallas to either relocate if their position has been cut or take a package. Now imagine at the end of the 1 yr mark, all these people that said they were going to move have lined up other jobs and they are going to take the van pkg or just quit and not have to move. Then there’s tons of openings in Dallas again, and no one to hold the jobs or talent for the job bc they’ve let everyone go. And the people they decide to keep aren’t the people that is going by to be able to increase sales. It’s an old yt man’s club and they pic who is their favorite or who they’ve known longer.
I heard of a few people asking to be surplused at specific dates due to having new jobs lined up. If you want certainty, you can request specific waves or dates.
The best possible scenario is you interview, get a job, ask AT&T to make your off payroll date on xx/xx/xxxx, start your new job, and receive your severance 30 days later.
Layoffs, reducing benefits and getting employees off the payroll quickly is one skill set that Stankey and HR, excels. Growth, increasing stock price, dividends, R&D, new products and treating the workforce as an asset, not so much!
Past 50 miles it's an involuntary move regardless of how hard the CEO spins it.

They should lay off some people in Dallas to make room for these low skilled, low performers who accepted the move. So be careful Dallas, cause your days may be numbered.

The job location was moved. There is a severance policy that covers this situation. They are entitled to severance per the guidelines of the policy.
