Affected people will get notified when they are already asleep. When they wake up next morning they will see the dreaded email. This is how it has happened in the past. But to those affected, don't worry, it is not the end of the world. Sooner or later you will recover from it, with a new job. This is from someone who has gone through that. Now I am very happy where I am, for the past so many years, and nothing would ever make me go back.
