Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

I'm done being so helpful and I've never felt better

I sit in these meetings and listen to everyone bumble and fumble around, making plans that won't work, or thinking they are making things better when I know they are making them much worse. I just sit there and listen, keeping my mouth shut. You might be asking yourself, why don't you speak up and help? My answer is simply: why? Why should I bother? I'll still get the same garbage low raise, the same block rating, the ALT will still get richer and richer. The same people who would benefit from my knowledge are the same people who would sooner lay me off than risk not getting their millions in bonuses so....F* em. That's why.

No point busting an 'ump in the dirty aerospace cankers of today, run by treacherous thugs who will put you down at the blink of an eyelash. Do the bare minimum and work hard on an exit strategy, as you are on borrowed time.

Never felt better? Sounds good in theory but how do you do that? I just burned out at 56 yo and quit. It had a devastating effect on my group.

If you need the money I guess you do whatever it takes to survive. When you leave it won't matter. Find other ways to make your impact on the world.

They promote anybody. No experience needed. No qualifications needed or schooling.

This is why you have these crazy ideas. They're all friends so they just stand up for each other. When things don't work out. Nobody gets fired. They just get promoted for spending honeywell's money foolishly.

How do you get promoted at Honeywell. Just nod your head up and down, and be a friend of the management.

You ever see those bobblehead baseball players. You can buy. Instead of a bobblehead baseball player, Honeywell management.

You buy one custom-made. When you shake them they bubble up and down. Just like your management at Honeywell, so bring it to the meeting. When they come up with an idea. Just shake Honeywell custom made manager, and watch him shake up and down. You can do the same thing and agree with everything they say.

The bootlicker and the corporate stooge rule the roost; those with too many questions are earmarked for removal, along with those aged 40 or more.

In my experience the ones you try to help- they truly have no idea what they’re doing because they lack experience in the field/industry- resent the help. Like resent the help to the point where if you keep speaking up you’ll wind up on the list of “troublemakers” and eventually will be let go. The arrogance and hubris in leadership at Honeywell is stunning. If you’re competent at your job? You’re a threat.

lol, this is exactly what every honeyweller concludes eventually. The cycle repeats.. now those silent survivors run the company. Turning off their brain a decade ago so they could advance leaves them with no vision and no skills. Perfectly prepared to disenfranchise the next generation.
Congrats on your imminent promotion.
