AFAIK, there have been quite a few reductions in Info Sec. Some have left as well. We had one person we regularly worked with just bail late last year. Others I had crossed paths with on some specific things are no longer around (one was a Sr. Manager IIRC).

Info Sec has been losing people every year for the last 3 years. Once they were put under IT from Risk (a conflict of interest), IT has wanted their headcount reduced by 5-10 percent every year.

If you are a coder, data analyst, data management resource, forecasting, modelling or anything connected to analytics, reporting or technology, better start looking. I will bet you that all of those jobs will be outsourced to Indi at 1/4th of the cost. They do not care about quality. They will have few Managers managing those folks from here. But the work will be done in India because there are too many people with such skills in India. Supply exceeds demand in India. If you are displaced, then you probably should not apply for any job that says "data analysis." Because, you may again be let go in 6 months to a year. My 2 cents.

If you have been hearing of a coming reorganization or if you’ve seen a recent change in behavior from your director or manager, get a clue that this is coming to your team. Many will be blindsided because they have been ignoring the signs.

If you're being harassed, stay. Get a lawyer. Settle. Get a favorable reference. This place will try and criminalize employees but in other orgs none of it matters. Also shocked most other employers cringe at Wells on a resume. If this is all you got stay but be aware the grass is greener - and attainable - elsewhere. Not to
mention su-ks to see who else is caught in the cross hairs of management politics. In the end you're going to get laid off.

What does her group even do other than host or attend meetings? They don’t demonstrate any leadership to solve problems, always trying to pass that off to someone else. They’ve even hired people with no prior security experience.

Happening as we speak.
Plan: over-hire and then layoff
Plan: make life miserable, so people leave
Plan: allow substandard mid mangers to harass, look the other way, and people leave
(Almost a) Plan: have no long term plan for Info Sec, so no short term plan, and people leave
Plan: Allow competent mid managers to leave hence skills shortage

This was in the works. They strung you along while getting ready to displace and offshore to India just like their HR positions. Soul su-king vampires can't even stay afloat with sh---y sales goals and metrics.
