The person is right ! A friend mine joined recently as Devops Engineer at fidelity investment boston. (International) with just 4 yoe.
Approximately around 100k to 120k base package.
That person is just roaming different states instead of working !! I think tech team is very cool

"DevOps" = automation for the sake of automation so you can say you have a "Pipeline"
thats running in "CICD" mode. A very great concept for SOME applications and a very terrible idea for other applications. Unfortunately "agile-think" says to apply it everywhere across all systems. Very Happy I am no longer putting out the fires that were caused by "Automated" testing that used static text files instead of database API calls.
