Anyone catch when BM said we aren’t in a hiring freeze in the 3Q23 earnings call? I work in GRM and we haven’t been able to hire since Nov 2022. So we spend 15 months telling our folks we need to “do more with less” and then we cut their bonuses and give cr-p raises. Good times.

The top of the house went to great lengths last year to repeatedly say it wasn't a "hiring freeze" (because of how negatively that phrase is seen) but more of a "hiring pause". As if there's a difference. It's just more of the typical insulting balderdash we get from them. It's like when companies tried to replace the word "downsizing" with "right-sizing".
