Thread regarding Ford layoffs

We have 104 days of inventory sitting with no buyers

The industry average is 80 days.

The demand is weakening. That number of days of inventory is growing every week.

2024 is going to be a disaster for the auto industry. And we are in a worse position than any other domestic manufacturer. This could be the year of actual backruptcy. It's getting bad out there folks.

Ford Bronco Sport leads all SUVs in highest unsold inventory.

So one of our biggest winners two years ago is now a loser. Check back in on Maverick in year.......

I love how some of you point to Stellantis. Chrysler has been through bankruptcy. They got realigned, offloaded their pension costs, and can easily ride out the lack of demand.

We can't. We're a house of cards. We barely survived last time and that was with a genius at the helm. This coming storm will be too much especially for our inept leadership.

It doesn't look good.

We aren't in a recession. People wealthier or smarter than you invested in housing and you didn't.

You should have been up-skilling to better compete.

Gas prices and grocery prices fluctuate and the companies will charge what the economy will bear. If you stopped buying it, they'd lower the prices.

No recession. My country is finally becoming great again. And it's about to get even better in November.

We are in a fu--ing recession and the gove Don't want to announce it officially.

Once the automotive companies in the us announced their layoffs, then you know it's officially recession.

Management continues to use the tried and tested line (like a few already mentioned) - "This is a key year. We are going to turn around the business... next year or year after"! BTW, CEO's clock has completed 3 years. Maybe 1 more year before Bill's patience runs out??? What would have been a better strategy than to invest 20-30B in new EV Capacity is to invest 5-6B in Charging Infra! Guaranteed revenue (with or without your EVs)!!! Opportunity still exist today.

The fake economy has come to a slowdown. People can't pay their insurance and mortgages. Autos will hit a wall very soon. The buck stops here. The 104 will be 150 soon

here is a fix

"as our legislators continue to make it more difficult or costly for OEMs to produce ICE vehicles that negatively impact climate change" ... they will get voted out of office for good reason

You can thank Billy and Jimmy who are selling out the US with connection to the CCP and selling out the American workers. Do some research on how Ford has been moving employment to other countries.

Until you have driven a Mach E, you really can't understand just what a game changer the vehicle is.

As our legislators continue to assist the OEMs by incentivizing EV purchases like they have with Tesla, our product sales will ramp up.

And as our legislators continue to make it more difficult or costly for OEMs to produce ICE vehicles that negatively impact climate change, there will be fewer and fewer ICE vehicles produced. Then, our EVs will begin flying off the lots.

Customers may need a little 'push' to begin their EV journey, but it will be the best thing for them and our environment. Being a highly profitable company as a result will be icing on the cake.

2025, 2026....this will be the same story...just hold on a little longer kids...I swear it'll be different next year...or maybe the next...BUT JUST HANG ON!

"All we need to do as a company is hold on until Model e Gen2 products and services are debuted and launched. Game changers and the road to high demand from our customers. Just hang in there."

"Milk Toast" is all I can say. Watch what they do and not what they say.

According to Ray and Zach from CarEdge, Stellantis setups are in worse shape as far as oversupply.
