Thread regarding Cisco Systems Inc. layoffs

I am ready to leave

Well, it’s easier to lay off people than actually run a business. With Cisco missing so many obvious opportunities and being run so badly, I have long lost the faith in mgmt that they would make me or anybody else see working here as a win and actually do my best to stay. At this point I wouldn’t mind at all to be let go.

We are all loosing a lot of time dealing with this layoff. Just the layoff itself is like everyone loosing a work week's of time. I'm not complaining as these poor people need jobs, and we all have some key openings to fill. Just saying, the LRs themselves is a huge cost to Cisco!

I will quit before next LR in May.

No interest in a LR package?

The ones saying leave are at Cisco for the drama. There are many well trained talented people who would love to give it their all but with LRs every few months, one can’t fully commit if the company will not fully commit to their employees. Every tech company copies each other and are too scare to defy the shareholders and bet on your employees and not risk buying some new business to see if it works out.

Then leave
This isn't a prison you don't have to be here quite literally you can chose to leave
Is the grass greener yes in some ways in other ways it will be sand
Either take it on the chin and move on or leave this is a business not a nursery
I don't trust management either but I have an obligation to my customers and partners to show up and present order out of this mess

You're just wasting everyone's time posting stupid stuff like this. If you want to leave do it. Don't whine about it then complain when you do get cut and have to find a new gig go get one now and don't waste your time on this board
