The same reason it's a CoBC violation to talk to the media or disparage the company. Stankey is painting an illusion to the public that shows a nice and dandy life at the T, when the reality is anything but sweet.
Employees are behind closed doors and out of sight, hence the pi-s poor treatment and cold shoulder attitude.
