Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Chip act grant announcement

I think it is not just money but also side effects. It will be negatively affect AMD. When people is about making a purchase in US, they would prefer Intel given the performance is sufficient. It might be very similar to Huawei in China. Most people want to support local brands.

i blame the politicians, the big goons on wall street, and the upper management
they appear to be sleeping together at a motel 6
none of them are held accountable, none of them can make a chip,
yet all of them all wealthy

@1gdh - your lack of confidence is showing. It’s easy to blame Intel’s failings on politicians, so why don’t you own it and leave?

"the performance is sufficient"

i don't purchase goods based on this notion
what is local about Intel
how many foreigners have they brought in to replace americans
how much work have they shipped overseas
i don't consider intel an american company
but a company that has attached itself to congress and the printing press

Yeah… rrrrrrright. The money that PG got today from the Federal Government to build “made in America” will actually be used to pay severance packages for American workers…
