Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Stellantis laying off about 400. Who's next to announce Ford.....!!!?

The Italian-American automaker said it is reducing its engineering/technology and software organizations by about 400 U.S. jobs effective March 31, which represents 2% of those jobs worldwide.

Not at Ford, there are 100's of job positions for LL6 and Tech Spec positions. Even people who left Ford on their own are being hired back as Tech Spec's. There are even more GSR positions available.

I’ve been at Tesla since I left Ford.
Tesla is an absolutely an amazing company.
It’s hard work but you get recognized and highly rewarded.
It’s not uncommon to see Elon and for him to talk to you and ask for opinions or ideas to improve manufacturing.

You would never see arrogant know it all Jim Farley ever do that.

I'd rather work at Stellantis or GM than Ford.

Never any of the foreign OEMs and never Tesla.

But anyway they (all the Polish fellows) are more worried about upcoming Leningrad tanks recently and Tupolevs in the sky and one of them plans to move with me if this occurs. (and put up with my half-working waterheater. I joke, this goes back to your Wojciech Jaruzelski's standard of living)

And the French? Some managers heard the rumor and took the buyout package, the company is sinking like British Leyland and staying longer only undermines their own careers anyway.

Italians are the victims too. All senior Italian managers have been purged already (including that old bear. He was upset and just went back home for retirement) and upon seeing this, some upset Italian managers just cancelled all meetings for the next month and take vacation for a month. Even ordinary Italian employees have been disgusted by this and Polish employees are terrified: as much as they hate Moscow puppets, they wouldn't even do things like this in terms of employment,

It is not the fault of Italians. It isn't even the fault of anyone of specific nationality.

This is all on Carlos himself and that new Mexican NA CFO, it is their greed. I wouldn't even blame the French software officer on this, he doesn't care hiring nor firing, as long as he can maintain the status quo (I guess by this, he wouldn't have anything to show as product now. He must be somewhat annoyed. But his position is too high to quit anyway)
