I'm so looking forward to getting a package and retiring from this company.
I got my letter finally. Was almost 10am and I was getting worried, but it came through. Sweet release! I'm across the MR75 line, so I'm technically retiring too. Best.Day.Ever.
In our union contract, we have entitlements of a termination package, a voluntary tp and an Involuntary tp, both packages are similar and much better than manager severance stuff. Of course, people not working under our union contract have a million negative words about it however if handed a winning lottery ticket I'm sure they'd cash it too.
Why do people still insist on saying "package"? What package?

Many of us take as many paid days off as we can get away with and put in the least amount of actual work without getting fired... and it's funny. We're just hanging out waiting to inevitably get laid off and the nice termination package.
I have already retired in place. Best of both worlds, doing what I want and getting paid.
