I’m on an engineering team for tenants and have many friends in BAT. Most are all gone for silly reasons, the rest are suspended. It’s just sad that the company has went after people this way.

I’m a BAT seller myself and the vibes/mood in the office has been super off. It just feels like change is about to be happening and I don’t know if it’s a good change or not. I know I’m thankful that I’m doing well, but that doesn’t matter
Every person they fire is one less surplus package they have to pay out when they ultimately combine BAT and Fiber teams at the end of the year... Project find a reason to fire folks is in full effect. Stay safe out there my friends.
Wireline tech here. I have many friends who are or were BAT sellers, last week one was interviewed about 3 voice lines that had zero usage on it that my friend sold about 23 months ago. It was for a company that needed spare lines because their business hired workers temporarily. I asked my friend what else they investigated him for and he said nothing else, he even showed me the paper for the investigation, it was just that one account almost 2 years ago. My point is it was the customers decision. Anyways he is on suspension for now.

Sounds like the big 3 providers are getting rid of a lot of their outside sales teams.
Business Acquisition Team. Basically territory mobility sellers. Some I know have been with the company more than 15 years and others close the 30 years. I know there could be shady sellers but the ones that have been suspended and quit are not the shady ones. It just seems like AT&T is trying to find any little thing to let someone go.
May I ask, what is BAT? I have seen this on here several times and do not know what BAT stands for. Thanks!
