Thread regarding Mondelez International Inc. layoffs

Already planning my exit strategy

I will definitely be leaving this company very soon. The work conditions of being a FTSSROW have become unbearable and the longer I stay here the worse it is for my physical and mental health. I have become too overstimulated from the workload that this job has become. Pack out the order write the order go through backstock write the credits I am just being pounded with work all day long and the quality of life on the job and off the job changed dramatically. It is to the point that I feel the sooner I get off this job the better it is for my health.

So as of right now i have a few plans just not sure which one i am going to go with i just know I will be leaving no later than this summer. My plan as of right now is to give my notice in late June/early July that my last day will be at the end of July. I was approved for a PTO period right after the 4th of July for the remainder of that week and all of the following week and don’t want it to go to waste. I want to start planning that week. If it gets to the point where over the next few days I just can’t take it anymore I might give my notice next week and April 18 will be my last day. So far I am leaning towards the first one but we’ll have to see how it plays out. At this point the only reason I am still here is because I need health and dental insurance but I am pretty sure that when you leave this company you have the option to enroll in cobra to hold you over until you find a new job and enroll in their benefits plan.

Besides I can find a way to make $1000 a week or more doing the gig work(Uber, DoorDash, Instacart, etc) that I already do on the side of this cr-ppy job with this cr-ppy company. Eventually I will need to a new full time job but it’s just that my experience over the last year has been horrid and the time to go is soon and it’s caused so much stress that taking it easy by only doing gig work and having more time to look for jobs and more flexibility to go on interviews might be the best way to alleviate the stress from this job. I’ll get to make my own schedule, do my own things, work my gigs around my personal life rather than having to work a set schedule. I’ll eventually get a full-time job at another company but I just need to recoup from the stress caused by a job that doesn’t even pay a living wage. Never knew that the added workload would be so draining.

Pro tip. Take 2 weeks of vacation. Then just stop showing up. It's not like your going to get a recommendation letter from them anyways.

As a rep I am also planning my exit for several reasons. I'm not gonna stay around year from year wondering if they are going to keep us and the mental stress of baby sitting ftow and dealing with all the angry store managers. This job su-ks and we make less every year now that we don't bonus and inflation is thru the roof

Don’t wait, your health is way more important!! You are very smart to take control back of your life! Change can be hard, but change is growth!
Cobra is expensive, look at the marketplace. I think if you have a change you may be eligible to get in even though it’s not open enrollment. Market place is great! Very very affordable options, we pay less than that I paid into Mondelez’s plan. There are tons of options!
You are headed down the right path, one that will lead you back towards a healthier and happier life!! Congrats! Once I made that decision is was like a ton of bricks were taken off my shoulders!!!

You may want to wait a while since there are some rumors about layoffs in May this year. You could ask your manager to see if you are on the chopping block or you could volunteer for the layoff. If so, you could receive a severance package.
