Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Reporting to investors

When will employees see how much AT&T saved from mass layoffs and RTO? How much did we save the company? Where are the numbers? How much did they save from pension contribution and benefit cuts?

It will be hard to grow revenue since AT&T is now a commodity player. AT&T will either have to expand into areas where there is little/no competition so they can avoid a price war. I don't think the company has the people in place to develop great products, or otherwise distinguish itself from other providers in the market.

Because T is NOT making any meaningful revenue and due to making BAD business decisions, they are cutting (headcount) to try and get there!

Remember, revenue per employee is the metric of the moment. As employees depart, the denominator shrinks, increasing the ratio. But, top line revenue isn’t growing… all those “no-usage” lines in SMB, all those fast churning features in Retail, all those ACP broadband customer disconnects coming next month. Finance better get an new Instapot, because somebody’s got to cook these books.
