Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

73 million accounts leaked - former and current customers

At what point are executive leaders going to be held accountable?

"Unclear if it came from us or our vendors" <- can't even tell where it originated. Who's running the ship? Outages, lead, leaked customer accounts. Maybe if our executives ignore it, it will go away again?

Dear Stanker,

If it came from an AT&T vendor, then it came from AT&T.

Maybe if everything wasn’t outsourced to third-party companies overseas, you might be able to have a little more control and visibility into your sensitive information processes. Including benefits and payroll data of your employees. Even if the breach happened stateside, my guess is the management of those systems was still outsourced and accessible to vendors.

Well, at least they hid it from the public and customers for a couple weeks.

This is just the beginning! The result of cutting your company to the bone from failed mergers and acquisitions! Do you believe you can eliminate half your workforce and continue to operate efficiently? Then you’re not very smart. The wheels are falling off, there will be more colossal failures in the near future. I guarantee it.

This leak won’t hurt a company with a stellar reputation.

Stellar Reputation? Maybe 20 years ago.

Typical that it takes them 2 weeks to confirm something everyone already knew.

Fu--ing HR snakes.

I'm flabbergasted. Why would we suddenly start holding them accountable now?

This leak won’t hurt a company with a stellar reputation. It happens.
Problem is, it’s another brick in the wall for T.

"Leak" was years ago lol. your data is in the lists too. 😂

Possibly, though with it supposedly including 90% former customers and only 10% active, maybe not. I'm sure tons of us have info leaked on the web. Everyone I know has gotten a couple notifications a year from various companies.

Keep up Leon. "Leak" was years ago. Tried to be sold in 2021; released for free weeks ago. Press release is a formality an contains no new info, so who cares when it was released?
