We shouldn't all feel like we're on borrowed time. That's unhealthy in so many ways. Making sure your employees are never able to relax because layoffs are basically a daily occurrence is inhumane. Wells Fargo was never a great place to work, but it was never this bad either.

"They are discriminating based on location, not evaluating our contributions to the org." They need to cut 10-20% overall (hiring a bunch in I&P) so net net, they need a method. Location is one (though we all agree not a good one). Evaluating contributions to org would seem to work if they just said anything below meets goes but we all know some of those are politically rigged or retaliation as well. Cutting the locations assists in the real estate cost reduction..... So, anyway you look at it, employees bear the brunt of this.
I used to love my job too. It's sad to feel like nothing I do provides value. They are discriminating based on location, not evaluating our contributions to the org.
It is never comforting to be in a large company during a major layoff initiative. Some teams are very clearly being treated like cattle before the culling
It used to be an awesome place to work- I used to sincerely love my job and was proud to work here. The toxicity has just increased dramatically in the last 5 years.
