Look at all those marketing teams that were forced to move to California a few years back . Within 12 to 24 months they were all let go. I wouldn't uproot and move my family for T.

So many people over the last 20 years relocated at their own expense and were laid off within a year. I trust the company to continue that business plan.

If T leadership is talking to you, they are lying to you. C suite lying is why Wall Street no longer listens to T which has cost T shareholders billions and no matter what T reports in their financials Wall Street knows it’s all sh-t and fake!

"that we should trust that the company will do the right thing in regards to job security"

That was in no way what was communicated by that slit eyed pr-ck.

What he communicated was that it worked out for him to move (probably because he had no life or friends to give up - who TF would want to be his friend?) and that he doesn't actually care about what happens to you one way or the other.

As long as you SCRUM. Scrum scrum scrum. The gospel according to Ward is it will all be fine as long as it's Agile and done around a table. Nothing else like talent or experience actually matters. Lean into it!

What a dolt.

And as far as the bible study comment, PLEASE. I have never worked for a less moral human being, and I have worked for vast numbers of human beings. If he ever did such a thing he had a political reason to.

Clearly, he hasn’t been with T that long!

Do you even google people before you say stupid sh-t?

What do you think expect upper management to say?! They're going to toe the line or get the ax too.

"Ward came from BellSouth."

Then his days are numbered. BST at least had a moral compass. Anyone brought through that ecosystem has been summarily shoved out the door shortly after arrival in Dallas. Only SBC sociopaths are allowed past a certain point.

Ward came from BellSouth. I really liked him when he was a Director. He used to hold Bible Studies at lunch.

"I’d trust them a lot more if they were willing to pay for relocation like other companies."
T cannot afford relocation and the majority of employees don't have skills that can't easily be found in hub locations.

The only thing you can trust this company to do is to find a way to make every year a little worse than the previous one.

ROFL

If the company were so confident that it would act in a trustworthy way hot would offer moving costs, a retention bonus, 6 month guarantee (on top of severance) or all three

I’d trust them a lot more if they were willing to pay for relocation like other companies.
