What will the credit monitoring do? My personal data, including the SSN has been stolen long time ago somewhere. I constantly get letters of data breaches telling me my data was stolen. I get tons of spam calls, SMSs messages. Will credit monitoring fix it? NO.
SUE all these companies for not protecting personal data.
As usual, the lawyers will get hundreds of millions, while the victims will get an expired coupon from the Stink for $5 off their next $1,000 phone upgrade.
And the Stink will get a $10M bonus for his great execution of the deal.
It will be a huge expense for the company. That's always good.
They want T to pay for lifetime credit monitoring? Most with similar issues provide either 12 or 24 months…which will probably overlap with the free credit monitoring providing by the next company with a data breach.
