Yes. I won't go into specifics on what my accommodate was, but it does fall into the category of what OP is describing. It did require that my doctor fill out a form. My doctor recommended FT WFH. However Wells Fargo has a stepped approach to accommodations and will try various things to accommodate you so that you are able to work effectively while in an office.
I don't like RTO'ing (does anyone?) and of course was hoping for FT Remote. But I ended up with a solution that works well for me and I'm now able to be effective while I'm in the office. It was very easy to work with HR on my request and I feel like they did try to help with my situation.
And no, I'm not from HY. There are multiple ways WF tries to mess with people each and every day, but I don't think this process was one of them. I thought the person helping me did a good job of working with me to find a solution that worked for both WF and for me.
