Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Has anyone received an accommodation that is not WFH?

I am sure most people who request accommodations want/have to work from home, but does anyone know of someone who has an accommodation that adjusts their working conditions while in the office (ex. switching office locations to another market location, have a private office due to anxiety, less days required in the office).

Also is a doctors note always needed for an accommodation?

I was able to get extra thick toilet paper in my location, due to crunching out absolute hogs on the daily.

I have a severe allergy to the work itself, especially working in the office. But WF refused to accommodate me.

I have some ailments that I could probably use to get an accomodations and I'm sure if I asked my doctor to recommend work from home I'm sure she would. Heck, I have a couple friends who are doctors and could probably get them to write something as well.

Agoraphobia should be versatile.

I received Zoomtext software and a large monitor. The software had to be installed on a developer laptop. I also had a monitor arm to adjust the monitor installed in a dedicated cube. This was all for my eyesight. I also had two laptops so I could keep one at home. This was so I did not have to carry it back and forth. I came into the office 3-4 days a week and got permission to do so during the pandemic. The WF Accommodations Group was terrific. My last manager made fun of all of this. His attitude and tone were the main reasons I retired early even though the accommodation tools I was granted made things so much easier. WF does not include manageable disabilities in their diversity philosophy.

Yes. I won't go into specifics on what my accommodate was, but it does fall into the category of what OP is describing. It did require that my doctor fill out a form. My doctor recommended FT WFH. However Wells Fargo has a stepped approach to accommodations and will try various things to accommodate you so that you are able to work effectively while in an office.

I don't like RTO'ing (does anyone?) and of course was hoping for FT Remote. But I ended up with a solution that works well for me and I'm now able to be effective while I'm in the office. It was very easy to work with HR on my request and I feel like they did try to help with my situation.

And no, I'm not from HY. There are multiple ways WF tries to mess with people each and every day, but I don't think this process was one of them. I thought the person helping me did a good job of working with me to find a solution that worked for both WF and for me.

I am a fulltime paranoid bi-polar woman. I need a constant accommodation to take care of my mental illness.

I have an accommodation to go in only 1 day a week due to adhd. They were looking to get me an office but there weren’t any in my location. As long as it’s a reasonable request, with proof they will review it

I can’t relieve myself in public restrooms, putting a strain on my bladder. Whats the accommodation there? Work from home.

You always need to have a doctor fill out an accommodation recommendation form. I currently have the lights off around my cubical, a noise cancelling headset, and a relaxed dress code. No offer of a private office and my doctor wrote that the recommend full time WFH.
