There are enough sheeples who will believe such news when the fact and evidence is contrary to this news. Part time jobs are also thrown into the mix. Jobs that require low level skills are also thrown in the mix. Unfortunately, we are run by a mob. Literally a mob that is setting up the lowest bar to the young generation who are the future of America to focus on protest, gender, race with focus NOT on ability, hard work, innovation, law and order, discipline and love for one's nation that has provided everything to them. Lies, Lies and more lies because they know that they can "select" whomsoever they want. Sorry to talk facts as your post is more about employment/politics/economy.

"Will quietly be revised downward in a month."

Happens quite often, actually. Every administration.

Expect constant lies until election time from the party that is supported by the NYT and HuffPo, as well as from the NYT and HuffPo. If by chance they are ever found to be wrong, and I can assure you that they are, they just claim over sight. And who will fire anyone, uhm, get real.

I'm not aware of any local government that's hiring more than just to backfill and that isn't much. Cops? Get out of here. Teachers? Are your kidding me? Not sure about FDs, but I doubt they are growing. It's either smoke and mirrors or some worthless staff roles just su-king on the gov teet

It is really not easy to find a job, worse if you can be replaced by foreign workers on visa.
They would not likely to hire you when they can sponsor another worker from home country.

People who have given up on looking aren’t counted and have never been. That’s a LOT of people of prime age who are not looking and never plan to return .

That’s the real problem.

Calm down on making lit political.

They will revise the numbers, which the media won’t report on. This has been happening for the last several years

Mostly part time or government jobs. Will quietly be revised downward in a month. No way to run a country. $34 trillion in debt.

Local governments also hire h1b contractors thru 3rd party companies.

Half of those were healthcare and government. Government! How the h$ll does that work?

Local governments hire cops, firefighters, teachers, etc when the economy is good. More money changing hands means more sales and income taxes are collected to pay them.

It’s not always all about easy desk jobs that can be done from anywhere.

Wages were announced as well and there was basically no growth in wages

We sponsor 85K new H1b visas each year.
And this says 3K jobs added for finance, 0 added in information technology.

We are losing jobs each year after H1b, OPT, L1, H4, and green cards.

Most of these 50%government jobs are counting the contractors on H1 or STEM OPT not American citizens!!

Has anyone ever broken down how many of these employment “gains” are actually sustainable jobs (i.e they pay a living wage and not a poverty wage) and how many of these may be second or third jobs to subsidize inadequate compensation at a worker’s primary job in the face of staggering Greedflation? They just tend to zero in on the number of jobs but don’t drill down to specifics.🤷🏻

I seriously doubt many boomers come here. Just because people disagree with you doesn't mean they are old. In breaking news, people can be similar in age and have polar opposite opinions. Maybe once you're old enough to buy cigs and alky you'll figure it out.

Agree- This is an election year and they are trying to inflate the stats. Most of these jobs are ghost jobs as you stated and very few are white collar jobs. Have been on job boards frequently, and know many people still unemployed after looking for 10+ months.

Ever thought the govt can just post a lot of jobs to make it look good , but never hire for those jobs, just like ghost postings or evergreen reqs.

Enough people have realized that you can't believe what the media tells you. The Economy is bad and is getting worse with rising fuel costs. People on this board already have shared the difficulty finding new jobs.
